Brown rice with shrimp





  • 1 ½ cup of Karavansay brown rice already prepared.

  • 1 cup of fresh or pre-cooked shrimp.

  • ¼ teaspoon Karavansay ginger powder.

  • ¼ teaspoon Karavansay turmeric.

  • 1 teaspoon Karavansay oregano flavored clarified ghee butter

  • 1 can of coconut cream.

  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.

  • 1 long split onion.

  • ¼ of paprika cut into small pieces.

  • ½ tablespoon chopped cilantro.

  • Salt and pepper to taste.

  • 1 teaspoon of honey.

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon.


  • In a frying pan over medium heat add oregano-flavored ghee, add the garlic and long onion, sauté for 2 minutes and add the paprika, cook for 2 more minutes taking care not to burn the vegetables. Pour the coconut cream, add the ginger, turmeric, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for a few minutes until the cream has reduced and thickened slightly.
  • Add the honey, cilantro and lime juice.
  • Turn off and serve with our freshly made brown rice and enjoy this delicious dish.
